Apple have used special connectors so "just any adaptor" may not work. I recommend contacting Other World Computing pre-sales support. They have a number of Mac- specific items and may have one for that SSD type. Be ready to tell them the sub-model of Macbook Pro form which your removed the drive and its screen size.

At a glance I do not see one that matches your form factor. Most are for blade SSDs with the interface on the narrow end. Still, they know their product lineup better than I.

The 656-0072A appears to be an SSD from a MBPro 13" 2016 or 2017 non-touchbar model which uses yet another unique proprietary Apple SSD connector. I'm not aware of any third party adapters or enclosures for that particular SSD. OWC which sells upgrade kits does not offer any adapters or enclosures for that SSD.

Are you sure this SSD isn't the source of the laptop's problem? The SSDs in that particular model laptop has an extremely high rate of failure.

What problem do you have with this laptop?
