bizhub C3351 only printing duplex

Hi.

I've got a Mac Mini M2 (14,3) running Sequoia 15.6.1. A KonicaMinolta bizhub 3351 is connected over the network (IP-Adress, PostScript, using the available driver from the konicaminolta website). It will print, but any options I'm chosing are ignored. It ignores the paper-tray option and the duplex option. Whether I choose 1-sided or 2-sided it will ALWAYS print 2-sided.

If I print via airprint, everything works as it should. But then some other important options (like booklet) are missing so I'd really like to use the postscript driver.

What I've done so far:

Re-installing the printer driver

entering the CUPS-Setting and changing the defaults to 1-sided

trying some options using lpadmin

installing a standard postscript-printer - the printer will still print duplex regardless of the setting of the standard printer

Resetting the printer system

deactivating duplex in the printer settings on the printer itself. then it won't print duplex anymore, no matter what options i choose on the mac

I am really running out of ideas. It just seems like the options set on my mac are completely ignored.

Anybody having an idea? Thank you in advance.

We use a similar (not identical) model at work (not at home). I print to the work one using a similar set up as you.

When I print, I can manually select one-sided (it defaults to two-sided) through the

Printer Options

and

Layout/Finish menus where clicking the small [i] next to Layout/Finish allows choice of one or two-sided output.

Is this how you were trying to do it? For me the above works, and I use those menus, not a "duplex" option. The menu I use presents "one-sided" or "two-sided" as the choices.

If you are using a company printer, it might have been configured and locked in some way for 2-sided only (why, to conserve paper ...).

Yes, I am talking about the one-sided / two-sided option in the Layout/Finish section. It seems like anything I chose under the "options" menu has no effect on the printout (for example, the tray selection doesn't work either)

The printer is used by a freelance worker, so I have full admin rights. There is an option to switch to 1-sided printing, but then again everything you print is 1-sided only. And, if I print somethine via airprint, the duplex-option is working and I can pick 1- or 2-sided and it works fine (tray selection also)

It seems like a driver issue to me. The driver is from 2023, but as far as I understand KonicaMinolta, the driver is good for Sequioa and the printer is even on the compatibility list.
