Apple Trade in UK iPad

I recent purchased an revision 16 iPad direct from Apple UK. As part of that deal I did a trade in. Value of the Trade in was only £60 for a revision 3. Which was in perfect condition and working order. However I thought I would upgrade to a newer version before It would no longer upgrade iOS for security reasons. Now I've just been sent a new valuation via e-mail.

Apple Trade In Your Device:

iPad Air 3

Serial Number: removed

Estimated Trade-in Refund:

£60.00

Revised Trade-in Refund:

£0.00

The trade-in value changed because:

LCD display burn in damage/streaks/discoloration across the screen

As i know it was in good condition and have photos to prove it i clicked on the link to have the device returned to me. This did not work and sent me to this page.

So i guess this is a 3rd party looking on the community with no obvious way of contacting them. Does anyone have contact details for trade in items. I have the post code from the proof of posting LE174WJ.

Any help is apreciated.

The trade in partner is usually a third party contractor not Apple.

This is their standard response in U.K. I got almost the same revaluation except they added scratched screen. The device was returned to me and when I examined the screen closely under x20 binocular microscope I could not find any evidence of the alleged defects. The only marks on the display were a few fingerprints which wiped off before the iPad was repurposed to my sister’s ex partner.

I will let you make your own conclusions about the trade in partner. ASC rules don’t allow me to say my opinion here.

If you do nothing the device shoiuld be returned to you within a week or two (courier speed)
