Apple says: If you’ve created additional desktop spaces on your Mac, or you’ve connected more than one display, turn on “Show on all Spaces” to use the same wallpaper on every desktop space and display.

But no, it's not 'exactly what it says' because it doesn't say enough. It doesn't say anything about 'including additional monitors'.

I think you're splitting semantic hairs. "All spaces" means all of them. If it didn't mean all of them, it would say, "except on external monitors."

However, you can certainly let Apple know that you think the wording is imprecise here:

"you can use Mission Control to create additional desktops, called spaces, to organize the windows. When you work in a space, only the windows that are in that space are shown."

So if you use Mission Control, you can create Spaces.

if work with Multiple displays, you extend the concept of Spaces further by using "displays have separate spaces"

I followed the link you supplied, but it did NOT lead me to where I could make a comment toward improving Apple's wording re their wallpaper. If fact there was nothing there dealing with wallpapers and how to set them up, properly.

Re your comment about me splitting hairs... someone new to the Apple way could have no idea what was intended, or not said... we can only go by what IS, right there in writing.

Perhaps as someone in the help department, YOU could be more understanding.

Further, I was going to ask WHY not ALL wallpapers in my selected Wallpaper folder are displayed when shuffle or random is selected, but rather only some images in that folder are selected to be shown, and those much more frequently than others. Actually, some images never make it to the screen, strange.

I see by my research in this help area, other users are having the same trouble, but no experts have offered any solution. Sad.

Your reply is addressed to your own post but I assume you mean me. I'm not in anyone's help department.
