In the last few months newly taken photos are sometimes added to the Favorites by themselves. Why is this happening? How can I fix it? I'm the only one using my devices and with access to my iCloud, nothing else out of the ordinary is happening that might indicate a breach.

Do they have the little Heart icon turned on? Do some favorites get unfavorited and have there little hearts turned off?
In my iCloud Photos Library, I only have favorites-- the less sharable pictures are elsewhere-- so I can't see this. But I haven't seen any of my favorites getting canceled.
