Is iPhone 16e available for trade-in for the 17 series?

Hello~ Apple does not accept trades on newer iPhones. If it’s not on their trade in list then that’s the case. The iPhone 16e was released in February of 2025. You could sell it privately and apply those funds towards your choice in the iPhone 17 lineup.

You say "Apple does not accept trades on newer iPhones". That is very unspecific. How 'new' is 'newer'?

It is offering trades on other iPhone 16 models, so it obviously accepts trades on models that are a year old.

But is there any confirmation from Apple of how long a product has to be available before it will accept trades?
