Bonjour à tous,

Je viens de recevoir une Apple TV neuve avec sa télécommande Siri Remote d’origine, et j’ai remarqué un détail assez surprenant : les boutons de volume sont inversés physiquement.

Le bouton + (augmenter le volume) est en bas.
Le bouton – (baisser le volume) est en haut.

Il ne s’agit pas d’un problème logiciel ou de configuration, mais bien d’un défaut physique de fabrication.

La télécommande est 100% d’origine, sortie directement de la boîte Apple TV.

Est-ce que quelqu’un a déjà rencontré ce cas ?

Est-ce un défaut d’usine isolé ou connu ?

Pensez-vous que cela puisse avoir une valeur particulière (pièce rare de collection) ?

Something has value of someone is willing to pay (extra) for it. Not sure if this qualifies, as it is not that difficult to perform, but best of luck to you. If it happened to me, I would return the unit.

I can confirm that the Apple TV was purchased brand new in a store, sealed in its original blister packaging. The box was completely unopened before, and the remote came out like this with the inverted buttons. I have not made any modifications to it.

That’s exactly why I was so surprised — Apple’s quality control is usually flawless, so this looks like a very unusual factory defect. That’s why I wanted to share it here, to see if anyone else has ever come across something similar or if this might be a truly unique case.

didn’t buy it from an Apple Store. I purchased the Apple TV brand new in France, in a large retail supermarket called Carrefour (it’s similar to Walmart or Target in the U.S.). The box was fully sealed, and the remote came out exactly like this with the inverted buttons.

Just to clarify regarding Carrefour: I didn’t buy my Apple TV online through their webshop or a third-party seller. I purchased it brand new in a Carrefour store in France, directly from the multimedia/electronics section. The box was fully sealed, and the Siri Remote came out like this with the inverted buttons.
