Problems with Mac after update Sonoma 14.7.8

Last week I updated my MacBook to Sonoma 14.7.8 and now I have a lot of problems. When I want to use Safari, most websites are blocked due to "your connection is not private". When I'm using Chrome I don't have these problems.

I was also making a photobook of my 1 year old and suddenly this app I'm using keeps saying I'm offline or I get the notification "An error occurred while downloading configuration data". I have WIFI, otherwise I couldn't use the internet. But besides Chrome and Safari it seems my Macbook is offline. I tried everything and I don't know how to solve this problem.

Can anyone please help me?

See if there are any Safari extensions installed. Turn them off, and see if the problem goes away.

Go to Safari->Settings, and them click on Extensions:

Delete or disable any extensions, and see how things go.

If this is not the issue: see if things work correctly in Safe Mode. If that is the case, then some third party software is causing a problem.

I agree if Chrome is browsing the web fine, and Safari is not, it probably is a Safari extension.

If you use VPNs that can mess things up as well. Don't use any Mac cleanup software as that messes up system level caches that Apple apps depend on.

Is your WiFi router between 5 feet and 150 feet away from your computer?

Is it possible to get a USB-C ethernet adapter with an ethernet cable to hook up your Mac to the router?

Yes it's close enough. Hooking up my Mac to the router is not really a possibility. My WIFI is good though, I don't have any problems surfing on the internet (Chrome). I think it's a setting somewhere that's changed since the update that's blocking Safari and the app.
