iPhone frozen and receiving memory-related scam messages

My iPhone has frozen nothing works.i was getting random messages about my memory being diminished, and prompting me to purchase memory apps to clean up my phone. Is this a scam ? How do I get my phone working again?

Original Title: My iPhone. Has frozen up. Nothing will work on it! I. Had received random messages that my memory was full, I thought I was being scammed what do I do?

That is a scam. No one but you would see this information on your iPhone, even remotely.
