Only iphones having internet problem on home network.

It’s just bazaar but on our home network all the iPhones lose internet. They stay connected to the router but lose internet. TVs, laptops, computers….no problem, but iPhones you have to constantly turn WiFi on and off. Exactly the same problem with every iPhone in the house. Really frustrating to have the highest end iPhone and can’t even stay connected to the internet.

This sound familiar to anyone else?

I have reset the router and the WiFi settings on the phone but no luck. Also tried two different wireless routers…same issue.

So these phones work at the bazaar, but not at home? Or do the phones fail both at the bazaar and at home?

(Yeah, I know, you meant bizarre and not bazaar, but you'll still want to test Wi-Fi access elsewhere.)

If you have any add-on VPN apps installed, remove those apps entirely — remove, don’t just disable — and test again.

Check for firmware updates for your Wi-Fi router, too.

Notes on Troubleshooting iPhone WiFi not Working:

I. Start Here: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t Connect to a Wi-Fi Network - Apple Support

II. What Else to Try:

A. Restarting the iPhone:

If any changes were made (i.e. Installed Apps), then Settings (i.e Wf-Fi), may have become manipulated technically. So, try restarting the iPhone:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Shut Down
  4. Slide: Your Finger to the Right

B. Disable Cellular:

Try disabling Cellular, and using Wi-Fi instead, seeing if that makes all the difference.

C. Try manually restarting your iPhone:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Select: General
  3. Scroll to: the Very Bottom
  4. Select: Shut Down
  5. Slide Finger: to the Right
  6. Wait: 30 Seconds
  7. Power One: the iPhone
  8. Try this Once More

Using a keylogger on an iPhone, while theoretically possible carries ethical and legal issues. WHY would you want to use something like this on your iPhone? Assuming you are the only one using your phone as you SHOULD be the ONLY one using your phone, why would you need to track the keystrokes on your personal phone? If you mean installing one on someone else's phone, hire a good attorney to help keep you out of jail.

So what about stuff like keyloggers? I’m new to iPhone so not sure how that works.

If you’re an immensely-valuable target with an immensely well-funded adversary, you’ll want to take specific steps for your security. Those discussions will involve some sensitive and personal topics, too.

As for those of us not particularly valuable targets…

Too many of the add-on security apps exist to fill the niche formerly occupied by malware; for collecting personal data, web browsing, and web-purchasing metadata. Add-on VPNs badly solve a problem that hasn’t existed for a decade or so, and for negligible benefits, but badly solve it in a way perfect for collecting personally-identified web browsing and purchasing metadata.
