What’s this blue spot on my MacBook screen

Recently this spot appeared on my screen after 1.5 years of use and don’t know if I should bother going to genuis bar because they’ll just say to replace it since it’s out of warranty.

Getting AppleCare:

Take this as a learning experience, knowing to get AppleCare on Apple products. I always have, and they've let me perform an annual continuum of coverage purchase. If any downside, it's that it is not offered in all countries/regions. If faulty, then they may fix it free-of-charge. My 2017 MBP's screen flickered time and again, and being so patent of a customer (because I sent it in for service, and spoke hundred of hours on the phone --so, that claim), I was granted free upgrade to a 5 grand Mac (for no more than the price of AppleCare..
