Slow app opening and inaccurate touchscreen on new iPhone 13

Hi, I have a new iPhone 13 I got earlier this year to replace a very reliable XS (that I had for about 4 years but was getting slow and battery was losing charge) The new phone took over from the old one, as in I didnt feel. like I had a new phone (outside of the battery lasting a full day) opening what's app is sometimes slow, takes like 4-5 seconds to open the app sometimes, and the touch screen seems to not be as accurate, I tap something and it chooses the thing next to it. When I long press a field in what's app it gives me the "autofill" option instead of "paste" It's working but these kinds of issues are irritating and intermittent, like not the sort of thing I want to go stand at a counter at the iStore trying to make happen.

Ive tried hard resets and reboots (vol +- and hold power until the logo appears) but the niggles persist.

I feel like Im using an old phone when it's only like 6/8 months old. What can I do?
