iPhone ringer and volume remain connected despite 'change with buttons' setting

hello! i have been having some trouble with my ringer and volume. i looked online and on this forum but the solutions don’t seem to be working for me. for the past few months, my ringer and my volume have been connected. whenever i turn my ringer on and use the volume button to turn the sound up, my volume turns up with it. when i turn it down, i try to turn it all the way down to be silenced but my phone never allows it to be completely silent, it always leaves a small bit of volume. even when i turn off the “change with buttons” setting, it still happens. is there any way to fix this? it never used to behave like this and my phone is up to date.

hi how are you? Oh I had the same problem too. It's like depending on the iOS you're actually under there may have differences in the way that you can manage the sound that comes from speaker or that you can hear on AirPods and stuff so you can set up like volume limit so I think there is also a minimal volume that you can actually set so I don't know if I'm helping but I would tell you to check your settings and then go to the house and rings and probably also check accessibility too cause sometimes we turn on or turn off some accessibility options that actually interfere with these matters. Hope I have help somehow. Bye! Have a great day!
