Set manager, setting to off not working, random behavior

When I go into System Settings and try to move the slider left to turn off Stage Manager, the settings menu switches to various random other areas in the settings panel, like Notifications, or Sound, but doesn't turn the Stage Manager off.

In the Control Center the Stage Manger Icon does nothing when clicked on.
