Transferring data from old M1 MacBook Air to iCloud and new M4 MacBook Air
I have migrated to a new M4 MBA. How can I be sure everything from the M1 has transferred to iCloud and the M4?

- iCloud cannot and does not hold “everything from the M1”.
- Here is how you move to a new Mac. Transfer to a new Mac with Migration Assistant - Apple Support
- You can check whether iCloud has whatever data you elected to store there from the M1.
- Be certain the M4’s iCloud settings are set up to access the same iCloud data the M1 accessed. Migration Assistant will very likely do this for you.
