Hey I have a m2 chip Mac book air 2022 model and I’m after a external
blu ray drive that won’t need software if at all possible something simple to only read Chinese copy region free blu ray disks I’ve tried everything even ASUS pro drive that cost a fortune if any one can help please let me know cheers

There is no drive out there that will work for reading blu-ray discs on a Mac without any software.
macOS does not have any support for blu-rays, so 3rd party software is absolutely required to read them and pay them.
The drive is not that important. Pretty much any blu-ray drive out there will work, but you will need blu-ray software for it regardless to play back Blu-ray Discs. Some drives will have bundled software.

im new at this I could take it into a computer shop here and ask them to guide me thanks any way.
