Weather app is not working on Apple Watch Series 6

I’ve been in a part of the UK with very little signal over the past week. Since returning home where I have plenty of signal, the weather complications on my watch have not been loading. The watch faces in general are also a bit ‘off’. When I go to the watch app on my iPhone 15 pro to see if I can edit a new face it keeps glitching back to the general face screen. I have tried restarting the phone and the watch but this doesn’t seem to fix the issue. Both phone and watch fully updated. Everything was fine until I went somewhere with poor signal! Is this ‘planned obsolescence’ of the watch series 6 perhaps? Any ideas?!

I called Apple Support and it was a very easy fix! For whatever reason, the location on the Weather app on my phone was toggled to ‘only when using app’. I don’t know how this happened- I changed it back to ‘always’ and this has fixed the issue! Embarrassingly easy!

Glad to hear you got it fixed!

Periodically, you'll get a notification from an app pointing out that you have location services set to "Always" and do you want to change that to something else. It's really easy, if you're not paying attention, to set it to "Only when using."

Do other things requiring a network connection work? Does the Weather app itself work on your watch?

The first thing I'd probably do is unpair and re-pair the watch.

Yes; everything else seems to work fine. I’ll try unpairing and see if that works. I wanted to check whether it was something lots of people were experiencing or just me!
