Screen Time Usage Not Accurate

I have screen time set for my kids for 2hrs per day. However, we noticed that it is constantly saying they are over and need approval for time, even in the morning. Looking at their daily average, it is showing around 18hrs per day of usage, which of course is not correct. The Finder app had over 13hrs the other day.

Our thought is that they often log into the iMac, but don't actually log out. The screen locks so they aren't using it and need to log in again, however it appears screen time is still considering that usage.

Is there a way to fix this so it doesn't count when the computer has locked due to inactivity?
