Unable to authorize my computer for Apple Music

Hi. I had since few days issues to access my Apple Music Library from my Windows computer (see my library but can only play songs purchased with my account). I have decided to deauthorize my computer and reauthorize it again. In Apple Music, I connected to my account and clicked on Deauthorize Machine and then clicked on Authorize Machine (I am in my account, remember).

I got the pop-up window on the screen asking me to sign in my Apple Account. When entering my password, I receive the following message : Your password has changed. Please sing out from the Account menu and sign in again. This is already strange as I an already connect, but OK, I signed out and signed in again using my password; no issue. But when trying to authorize my computer, I have receive the same message again (password has changed...). I checked and I have zero computer authorized. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is the workflow not working?

Re: Authorize computer - Account login issue

Wondering if restarting your PC may help restore order

(ie: On a Mac restarting may update recent changes, re-estabish connections, delete temp. files, and much more)

Else: See if Apple Support's online article (link below) can help:

How to: Authorize or deauthorize your computer for Apple Account purchases - Apple Support

Eg: says:

:How to authorize or deauthorize your Windows PC

  1. On your Windows PC, open the Apple Music app or Apple TV app.
  2. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar. You might need to sign in to your Apple Account first.
  3. Click Authorize Machine or Deauthorize Machine.

4 Sign in to your Apple Account. Forgot the email address or phone number that you use with Apple Account?

5 Click Authorize or Deauthorize."

Hi,

thanks for sharing the idea; unfortunately cleaning logfiles/passwords doesn't work. I even tried deinstalling/re-installing the app. No success as well. I am connect with my account and the machine-authorization process doesn't recognize the account password.

Next step is change password and see if this change helps recovering a stable situation.
