Control Apple Music on Mac from iPhone

I want to sit in my armchair and listen to my Mac playing music from Apple Music. There used to be an app on the iPhone (Remote.app) which let me select tracks, control the volume etc. etc. It's still there and all the documentation is still on line, but I can't get it to work.

Is there a straightforward way of doing what I want? Does this app still work?
