... would be a hidden file, and that's not normal. Not unless Microsoft considers hiding its files normal, which would not necessarily surprise me.

Definitely try Kurt Lang's suggestion first. You might consider attempting to delete that file using Terminal but I am reluctant to post those instructions since it's easy to get yourself into trouble with Terminal, and... you don't have a backup.

Good catch, John. I didn't notice the period in front of the app name. Definitely should not be there to start with. The entire app shouldn't be visible in the Applications folder is it's really named like that.

Using Terminal would work, but it would be much less dangerous if the user simply pressed Command+Option+. (period) at the desktop to show all hidden items. Then you'd see it in the Applications folder and can just dump it yourself.

It's just the French Canadian language resource. Still, it shouldn't cause an error.
