Typing field cursor on touch screen devices.

Been an Apple user for over two years now and the leading, most frustrating problem I still have with Apple is the touch screen cursor when I see a spelling or grammar error and want to go back to change something.

On an Android the cursor goes where you tap it. One and done!

On any of my touch screen Apple devices, I tap and it jumps back, tap, and it jumps back, tap it, it jumps back, tap, and it goes someplace else entirely, tap, and it highlights the entire word or paragraph to be deleted or changed.

Having to do this long press and drag…is a drag!!!

Maybe my gripe might seem petty, but jeez it’s frustrating!! Can’t you fix that?!?

Its probably just a couple lines of code in the OS.
