delete one onedrive folder from cloudstorage?

in my ~/Library/CloudStorage folder, there are two OneDrive folders, which both have subltly different versions of the same 26GB set of files.

I've signed out of OneDrive and binned the app from the Applications folder.

The OneDrive folders remain in the CloudStorage folder.

How do I remove one or both of these? I can't drag them to the bin. I can't right-click and find any option to move/delete/get-rid-of them. I can't right click, services, open terminal at folder, and use rm -rf on the folder (gets a not permitted error).

The other response answered my actual question: How to delete a folder from the CloudStorage area. (do it in safe mode, with instructions on how to do that). I'm personally unable to ask questions on the microsoft support or answers systems because my account is not "a work or school account" and I can't log in, and I can't report that I can't log in because "I'm not in the right tenant". The microsoft ecosystem is a closed box to me. But mainly the reason for me asking is that CloudStorage seems to be a special folder in the macos architecture that doesn't work like other folders and I wanted to know how to fix that myself.
