Just upgraded my 12Pro to a 16 and forgot to log my IMEI number. I can’t now get back into my old phone to locate. Help please!

Out of interest why do you need it? IMEI number is rarely of any use to owners, let alone ex-owners.
Why do you think you need the IMEI? You can't use the IMEI to track or locate it.
