iphone says battery not recognized after dropping it in the shower

hi so i saw a thread on this same question but most of the replies were just talking about the warranty, i need actual help. i dropped my phone in the shower with a case on it, and it was only in the water for like MAX two seconds, but the thing is back of the phone is kind of damaged, so water probably seeped in. anyways, everything was working fine for a bit, but like 30 minutes after i dropped it, it said there was no sim card, and then when i tried to plug it in, it gave me a pop up saying the battery can't be recognized. is there anyway i can fix this or is it over for my phone. ive already taken the sim card out and put both that and my phone out to dry but if my battery is really damaged am i going to have to get a new phone?

Get Out of SOS Mode:

SOS means that you do not have Cellular service at this very moment, but you do have the option to make emergency calls. So, contact you Carrier to get your services back up and running.

Unrecognized Battery:

As for it not being recognized after a waterdreop, did you ever get the battery replaced? If so, and an ungluing one was placed in there, then expect this message to show.

Getting a New iPhone Battery:

The battery is not functioning as expected. So, I recommend you get this serviced

I. Where to get a New Battery:

Contact Apple, and setup a Genius Bar Appointment or see an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) in your local area. Be wary as to where you get this item, ask you may get an error of an ungenuine battery. So, to avoid this continual message, it is best to have an Apple or an AASP replace the battery. So, where to get a new battery:

A. Apple Contact Info:

B. Contact an AASP:

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the battery

II. Troubleshooting the Battery:
