Wordle share Fail after iOS 18.6.2 via Messenger

When the share button in Wordle is pressed, it goes to platform choice. When I select Messenger, instead of going to that app it flips back to Wordle. I tried to find out how to distal this upgrade but it doesn’t seem possible. Searches say it is a Meta problem with The Messenger app but it is clearly an Apple problem caused by their no-positives update 18.6.2.have unchecked auto update box. Any other help?
