Is mac more limited than windows 11 (don’t be biased :)

Is macOS really that much more limited than windows 11? I need to use word and PowerPoint for my school so I need to know how well those work too. I’m currently considering a higher-end dell laptop or mb pro

Sorry for not explaining my uses well. I game a small amount, mostly Minecraft, and will be using it for an online school program that uses Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and edge browser. I was asking if Microsoft limits the apps on Mac and if Mac’s aren’t as open as windows when it comes to installing apps outside the App Store and the customization of it? Also I’m asking on build quality of them. Sorry for whole essay :)

Apple is proprietary. Apple has a tendency to provide updates for 7 years for their devices' updates and macOS compatibilities. After that time, you'd no longer get updates.

Microsoft Support Ending:

Office 2016, Office 2019, and Windows 10 support is ending on October 14th (a month and a half from this reply). After that, you'll no longer get updates --purchase a new PC noways right off the shelf, it would have Windows 11 installed. Expect updates for 5-7 years. Windows release timeframe vary, providing support for many years, where as macOS releases are annually. Expect a Windows 11 PC to go past Windows 12, I'm certain --but you'll need to pay for a clear, new install.

You are not going to find Visual Basic for Applications (scripting in Microsoft Office) available on the Mac.

You probably don’t need it for your education purposes.

Gaming sounds like an excuse to select a certain platform over the other, so avoid be biased.

I am not going to tell you which platform is a better fit for your needs because I believe you already know the answer.

Good luck! 👋🏼😉
