Problem with USB-A ports on Mac Mini M2 Pro

Both USB-A ports on the Mini stop working after approximately a day of use. Don't know exactly at what point they stop working, usually later in the day, or why. Restarting the Mac makes them work again. One of the Mini's USB-A ports is connected to an Alogic monitor. The connection is USB-A (mini) to USB-B (monitor), using a cable for this purpose from Alogic. This A to B connection activates two USB-A ports on the monitor. When the Mini USB-A port dies, so do the USB-A ports on the monitor.

It appears that both USB-A ports on the Mini stop working at the same time. Other ports on the Mini continue to work.

The Mac Mini is running Sequoia 15.6.1. It's possible the problem started with one of the recent Mac updates. The problem is many a month old. I thought the problem was with the monitor at first, so I didn't look a the Mac's part of it till 2 days ago.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a bad USB cable, device or to many USB devices are drawing to much power and tripping the Mac mini's port protection.

1) Test your USB devices and cables one at a time.

2) Try running less USB devices on the Alogic monitors hub.

3) Try a different USB cable between the Mac mini and the Alogic monitors hub.

4) Get a USB-C to USB-A adapter and connect the Alogic monitors USB-A cable into that.
