Icons get stacked on top of each other (without using Stacks mode)

Files and folders stacks on top of each other in the top right corner when moved or just created.

I've tried multiple suggestions ('Snap to Grid', sorting modes, use Stacks).

It only gets fixed momentarily and the problem comes back.

I've been having this problem since MONTHS. There was a thread about this already but it was closed...

PLEASE FIX THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE WASTE OF TIME

yes there is a recurring bug introduced back in Sonoma; I thougth it was fixed however it persist and periodically raises it's ugly head in Sequoia.

Desktop icons stack up top right corner, to sort the issue from the Terminal.app copy and paste:

defaults write com.apple.finder CreateDesktop true; killall Finder

To be proactive you can file a bug report / submit your Apple Feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

The current stable release of Sequoia including bug fixes, security updates is macOS 15.6.1

it also can be remediated by slightly changing grid spacing or icon size...ref: the screen shot den.thed posted above;

I find it less of "apita" to copy & paste the Terminal command.
