When texting from my 16 pro it highlights it in blue and goes through. On my wife’s 16E the same number comes up in green and isn’t delivered. What settings might be blocking her use of texting. It’s happened on other numbers but not all.

I suggested you look under “Start New Conversations From”. Only one row could possibly be checked there.
Apparently you looked in the “You Can Eeceive Messages to and Reply From” area.
Settings > Apps > Messages:
Is your wife signed into iMessage --> Set up Messages on iPhone - Apple Support
Also follow the directions for ensuring SMS/MMS/RCS Messaging is turned on.
Sberman, thanks for the reply. She had check marks by her number and her email. I checked on mine and found both however my main email was not shown. Only secondary addresses had checks
Thank you. Yes, you're correct for the start new conversation. Only one is possible. Is it OK to have phone and email in the top section on Receive? Does that lead to any issues?
