My IPhone XR charges up, turns on and then shuts down repeatedly

Hello,

My IPhone XR is stuck in a strange loop.

When i charge it up, it turns on instantly, almost not giving it time to charge up.

Then, when it turns on, it stays on for a few seconds and then turns off because it isn't charged up enough.

Please, i really need my phone back and most importantly what's inside.

PLEASEEE

iPhone XR, iOS 18

If the battery is the original battery in the phone from when you bought the phone, it is failing. Batteries are consumable parts, which simply can't last forever. You'll need to schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for a battery replacement. If you haven't been backing up your data, you will likely lose your data as backups MUST happen before a phone fails. Now, whether it's worth investing in an iPhone XR, is up to you. iPhone XR was released by Apple in 2018, 7 years ago. It will not be capable of running the upcoming iOS 26 coming in the next few weeks. Personally, I'd take the money you'd spend on a new battery and put that towards a newer, more modern iPhone. But that's up to you.
