Image thumbnails not showing in Finder on macOS Sequoia 15.6.1

Hi, I’m using a MacBook Pro with macOS Sequoia 15.6.1

Many of my image files only appear as blank white icons instead of previews. The images open normally in Preview, but Finder doesn’t generate thumbnails.

How can I fix this so image previews show properly again?

Thanks!

If you use Command J on the Desktop, verify you have selected>Show icon preview

no resolve—

Command i opens the information pane.

In one of your Preview icon verify Preview is selected as the default...

Thanks for the suggestions. I already have 'show icon preview' enabled and preview is set as the default app. But still some of the thumbnails show only as blank white icons. Is there anything else I could try?

—Use list view...(?)

—change the size of the icons and compare your results— go from one extreme to the other and see what works(?)

I tested changing the icon size. At 80px, all thumbnails appear correctly. If I increase the size beyond 80, some go back to showing white. Anyway, 80px works for me, so it is fine. Thanks for your help!

good computing kufkedisi !
