You cancel a subscription here:

View or cancel app subscriptions on iPhone - Apple Support

The only way a subscription will appear is if you agreed to the free trial/subscription by double clicking the side button on the iPhone where you see:

  • Free Trial length if you started a free trial that becomes a subscription if not cancelled.
  • Subscription start date
  • Subscription price
  • Subscription length
  • Message that state to avoid a charge you must cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. For a free trial that would be before the subscription start date.

After you double click the side button by agreeing to that information, you are then verified with FaceID/Touch ID or Passcode. Since the payment has not been able to be processed, it will continue to attempt to charge the previously authorized purchase. It does not go away simply because it could not be processed or if you do not use it.

If you still owe money from before you cancelled it you will have to pay what you owe. You should be able to cancel it using the instructions provided in other posts, but you will also have to pay what you owe already. You can then try to ask for a refund but Apple does not have to give you one.

If you subscribed to this directly with a third party, see: About purchases not billed through the App Store or the App Store’s In-App Purchase system - Apple Support instead. You need to work directly with the vendor, not Apple.

Notes:

• "If you signed up for a free or discounted trial subscription and you don't want to renew it, cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends." Note that by using an app like this you are automatically agreeing to this happening, are responsible for reading if this will happen, and canceling the subscription before the trial ends.

• Deleting an app does not cancel a subscription.

• An existing subscription will normally continue until the end of its term and may then renew automatically. Stopping automatic renewal is effectively canceling it. "If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription is already canceled and won't renew." The "Expires" date means the current subscription will just run until then. • Read the article to see what to do about subscriptions that do not appear in your list. If you still can't find a subscription, contact Apple Support using the link at the end of the support article.

• Canceling a subscription does not automatically start a refund.

• If you had a free trial previously, you do not get a second one and a subscription will start immediately.

I still can’t get this subscription off my account I cancelled it and it still wants to charge my credit card for a subscription I don’t want or ask for

That is because you still owe the money for the current charge. Cancelling only prevents the subscription from being renewed. You may not want it, but it was authorized by double clicking the side button with all the relevant information about the subscription, followed by verification with Face ID/Touch ID or Passcode.

You may have the subscription because you started a free trial and forgot to cancel or gave your Passcode to someone else where they could make purchases on your account. In either case, that is your responsibility.
