A better question would be... How do I turn off Face ID for specific things like Photos and Email if I have by accident broken the Face ID camera?
If you had bothered to read the document I provided a link to you would see that you can turn off using your passcode...
Settings->Face ID & Passcode->Enter passcode->scroll to Stolen Device Protection->Turn it off
Turn off Stolen Device Protection
- Go to Settings
, then do one of the following:
- On an iPhone with Face ID: Tap Face ID & Passcode, then enter your passcode.
- On an iPhone with a Home button: Tap Touch ID & Passcode, then enter your passcode.
- Scroll down and tap Stolen Device Protection.
- Turn off Stolen Device Protection.
- If you have Stolen Device Protection set to Away from Familiar Locations and you’re not at home or work, or you have Stolen Device Protection set to Always, a Security Delay is required to turn off Stolen Device Protection. Tap Start Security Delay, then follow the onscreen instructions.
If your screen is unresponsive them you are truly out of luck. You stated your iPhone was ’smashed’ and ‘waterlogged’ yet you say it is still functional? Really?
Using the same link provided you can turn off Face ID for individual apps as well.
If you forgot your Passcode then this link will advise how to set it.
If you forgot your iPhone passcode or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support
Star reading and follow instructions.
