How to connect GoPro to Mac to import videos?

Hey everyone!

I just got a GoPro and I’m trying to move my videos to my Mac. I’ve heard there are a few ways to do it, but I’m not sure what’s the fastest or easiest.

Anyone got a simple step-by-step or tips on how to connect the GoPro and import the videos?

Would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Easiest: take the card from the Go Pro, insert into the SD card adaptor and pop that into the Card Reader on your Mac. Or if your Mac doesn't have a built-in card reader then buy a USB one. They're inexpensive.

Perhaps as a personal preference, I wouldn't connect it with a cable--I don't trust what goes through those wires unless I have to. Many of us have cameras like Nikons or Canons, etc, and we do this every day. Even with my silly dash cam in my car, I use Yer_Man's suggestion of popping the SD card out and sticking it in my MacBook. (For my earlier MacAir and my iPad, I bought a card reader.) The card just comes up as a drive, and you can drag the files into a folder on your Mac. Perfect.
