My iPhone 16 is using so much mobile data

I’ve detected a very hige use of mobile data from my phone. In the menu it sais This Period: 2,3 TB and Shared Internet 1, 50 TB. I want to know a) how long a period is 2) who to contact about this

There is nothing to worry about. Those statistics count from the date at the bottom(usually says “Last reset at xx:xx, dd/mm/yyyy”)


When is the date? If it’s years ago then I wouldn’t worry but if it’s recently then I would contact them.


Who is your data provider?

The "period" is however long it has been since you reset it. The phone doesn't know anything about your billing dates. You have to reset it manually every month if you want it to reflect what you did in your billing period. The reset option is all the way at the bottom of the page.


I would note that your carrier is not billing you based on what you see on that screen. They are billing you based on their records.

My T-Mobile account resets usage at the start of each billing cycle, automatically.

I stand corrected. Verizon doesn't do that. My last reset was 7/14/2018. That even predates the current hardware.


Frankly, it's not something I look at much. Even though unlimited data isn't truly unlimited, I don't use enough to get throttled.
