If you plugged in a formatted memory card that had pictures on it, that card might show up as a volume in the Finder (depending on Finder > Settings). The insertion might even trigger the launch of some program which would offer to import photos.
However, an empty card reader by itself will not show up as a drive. You might find mention of the card reader device in the USB section of the System Information report, but that's about it.
Check with the vendor supporting that hub.
Hubs and docks typically do not show up as connected devices. Only other peripherals connected to the hub/dock show up on your Mac. What happens when you connect something to the hub?
Well it charges my phone, etc . I haven’t tried to use it for data transfer yet. Was not
sure if it would show anything. Ie, photo to hard drive
Ok thank you all
