How to ween family member from using my Apple ID on their iPhone

My 25-year-old son is still using my Apple ID (and his own as well) on his iPhone. Now that we are both using Apple Music, this is causing issues since I'm seeing all of his playlists, etc. Up until now, it wasn't a big deal, so we just kept it like it was many years ago, before family sharing and everyone using their own Apple ID.

My other son stopped using my ID years ago, and I remember the issues he ran into included trying to use an app that had been downloaded with my ID had to be re-downloaded, but that was years ago.

Today, has this been resolved? If he just signs out of my ID on his iPhone, what happens? I believe he is also signed in with his ID for non-purchases. Will his FindMy and all other stuff continue to work once he signs out of my ID? What, if any issues will he run into? Thanks in advance

Change all of your passwords and passcodes, as those are best assumed to be compromised.

That solves your data compromise and ownership issues and most of the other risks.

If you want to provide some continuity of data access, provide these links:

For apps and other content not associated with the available Apple Account, either enable Family Sharing and share that, or delete and re-download the apps or content.

I didn't mention anything about my account being compromised... But thanks for the other links. I'll take a look. Thanks

Depending on the setup details, and depending in how the apps got onto the iPhone under your Apple Account, all of your passwords are quite possibly being shared.

if the credentials are known, your Apple Account can also be permanently disabled, and devices reset or bricked, among other details. So if you want entirely clear of sharing, treat it as a compromise, and start changing passwords.

If this is Family Sharing and they don’t know your credentials, amd want clear of Family Sharing, then they can re-download apps from their own Apple Account.
