How to get rid of small magnifying bubble

I get this floating magnifying bubble in apple Pages on occasion. I have no idea why it appears or how to get rid of it. In searching the community discussion for help, another user reported the same thing appearing in Chrome using an ipad and in typical tech fashion, the moderator blamed Chrome. This thread is since closed. See link below.

This is happening in apple Pages on an iphone. I would appreciate some accountability on behalf of apple to figure out what this is, why it appears, and how to get rid of it instead of a flippantly blaming a third party app without even looking into the issue.

Thank you.

These are entirely fellow user supported and public communities that are hosted by Apple, yet no Apple employees participate. So there will be no accountability for what or why that object appears in Pages for iOS. It does not appear to be mentioned in the formal Pages for iOS documentation either. I checked that too.

I an recreate that object as a transient as long as I press and hold on the screen with my index finger, though it will as quickly disappear when I release my finger. I have found no other means that make it appear. It does behave as a magnifying object when passed over text, but one can also achieve the same effect with the two-finger zoom gesture (which does not activate this object).

I am using Pages v14.4 on iOS 18.6.2.
