Unable to load Microsoft Outlook on late 2012 Mac mini via Safari browser

Recently I try to log into Microsoft Outlook on my late 2012 Mac Mini via my Safari browser I get to where the envelope appears on the screen and it gets not further. It's like a stuck record. Then I get a message box with my mobile phone number and a message saying try again later, we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later which I have been doing for the last 3 days but keep getting the same message. I can access outlook fine on my mobile. I don't know what more to do. I have visited Microsoft site but unable to find a solution. Please can someone help?

That is likely because Microsoft decided it is good business for many of their products to only support the latest three version of macOS.

Currently those are;

  • macOS 13 "Ventura"
  • macOS 14 "Sonoma"
  • macOS 15 "Sequoia."

MS also has been turning off its activation servers for older versions of its Office components so, even had you an older supported version of Outlook and its key, you could not install it.

A 2012 Mac Mini is hardware-constrained from running any macOS version newer than macOS 10.15 "Catalina," which you appear to be running.

As Outlook is not an Apple product you might be better served by asking in the Microsoft forums. I doubt you will get a very different answer there.
