Persistent 'Approve MacBook Pro' system message on laptop

For years, this message has popped up multiple times every day on my laptop. I can Approve, Decline, or X out the system message. NONE of these options makes the system message stop appearing over and over again. I thought it had to do with the fact that I still had possession of my previous MacBook, but I swiped and recycled that machine months ago, and the messages keep appearing. How can I make it stop?
