When in Apple Music on Mac and I accidentally click on the Services entry (under Music), the spinning wheel comes up and keeps spinning a long long time.
What is it trying to do? And can I disable this behavior?
I am trying to avoid clicking it now, but it's awfully close to Settings and a accidental click happens easily

Problem solved.
I got my external Thunderbolt and moved my whole library over to my External.
Now when I click on the services it arrives almost instantly so, problem solved.
You may not disable the Services, but you might modify your own behavior to avoid clicking the wrong menu item.
The keyboard shortcut to access application Settings is command-comma (⌘,) - reached easily with one hand, or even one finger.
If you can train your brain and acquire the muscle memory to use that command you can avoid your current error.
Slowing the pointer drag speed and maybe increasing the double click time might help:

I’d wonder if there’s an integrated or added service that’s causing responsiveness issues leading to the spinner, too. But that can depend on which services are installed and which are added, and then figuring out of one of them is just slow. Related: How to edit the Services Menu. - Apple Community

To be clear, the drag and click speed changes are intended to help with the frequency of misses, not the spinner.

clicking on services in Apple Music on MAC gives the spinning wheel. What gives?
