Music player apple music app vs window media 10

I'm using windows 10 pc, when inserting a CD into drive the Apple music app doesn't activate but instead the windows media music player automatically activates. I've already set the apple music app as the default music player app. What should I do to correct this issue?

Windows, Windows 10 (19045)

Apple Music for Windows doesn't support listening to or importing from CDs. No one knows for sure if it ever will given it's been out for over two years and missing loads of features that iTunes has (and Apple Music on Mac has as well).

You can uninstall Apple Music, along with Apple TV and/or Apple Devices if you installed those, and re-install iTunes for a return to functionality.

You say two years, wow. I was having no troubles or issues when the iTunes app was running flawlessly while still playing music and movies and didn't solely convert to now just playing audio books and podcasts! SMH I'm still wondering WHY the current apple music app won't recognize nor play inserted CDs into drive while using windows 10 PC. And you're also stating that this problem exists for MAC users too! Thanks for the feedback it helps greatly to know.
