Library not restored after Apple Music resubscription on iPhone

Yesterday I resubscribed to apple music after not using it for at least 2 months, just to find all of my playlists and library completely empty.

When i checked on my pc everything was fine and in place, but there were also empty copies of my playlists ?????

Yes, i did have Sync Library On, both on my phone and pc.

I don’t know if it has anything to do with it, but i also imported a couple of playlists from spotify to apple music. (these are the only ones that appear with songs in them)

If you stop subscribing to Apple Music,

  • All "offline listening" copies of subscription songs go away
  • All "Sync Library" copies of songs go away
  • All playlists containing any subscription songs go away

If you resubscribe later, you do not get these things back. If you want offline listening copies back and playlists back, you must download new offline listening copies and recreate playlists manually.

It is my understanding that you should have been left with

  • Original copies (not Sync Library copies) of purchased music
  • Playlists containing only purchased music
