FCPX shuts down soon as I click .MXF file.

Hello All.

i got a new canon c80 and i film in log 🪵. The videos work perfectly and i can edit on my studio. They are .MXF files.

For the past two days I have tried to edit on my 2019 MacBook Pro and when I got to add a file to Final Cut Pro it immediately shuts down.

I took it to Apple and they had me download Adobe on my MacBook to see if the same problem occurred to see if it’s a software or hardware issue. The video played and worked beautifully in premier pro but shuts down Final Cut Pro and moves so slow in QuickTime.

I have done everything suggested by Google and gone as far as restoring my computer to factory settings thinking it will fix the issue but that didn’t work.

I will hate to have to learn a new editing software so I’m posting here to see if there is a solution.

I don’t want to convert files or anything extra I want the files to work in Final Cut on my MacBook like they it works on my Final Cut on my studio and premier pro on my MacBook.
