Launchpad app order resets after every reboot on macOS Sequoia 15.6.1?

On my MacBook Pro running macOS Sequoia 15.6.1, the Launchpad app order cannot be saved.

After arranging the apps in Launchpad, the layout looks correct.

But once I reboot the Mac, all apps are rearranged back into a default/random order.

I have tried the known commands such as: defaults write com.apple.dock ResetLaunchPad -bool true && killall Dock

defaults delete com.apple.dock ResetLaunchPad && killall Dock

rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db && killall Dock

None of these methods work on Sequoia 15.6.1.

This issue did not occur on earlier macOS versions (e.g., Sonoma).

It seems Launchpad database changes are not being saved in this version.

Please confirm if this is a known bug and fix it in a future update.

To be proactive you can file a bug report / submit your Apple Feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

Launch pad, from the Terminal.app

defaults write com.apple.dock ResetLaunchPad -bool true; killall Dock

This will arrange all apple stock/system applications on the first launchpad page in the default order.

On the second, third etc. page all the other apps will be arranged alphabetically.

if a corrupt plist, you can find in here from the Finder>Go>Go to Folder copy & paste:

/System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources/LaunchPadLayout.plist
