Please give us more information about your problem.
What phone do you have?
What car is it?
What it shows when you plug in cable or connect with bluetooth?
My basic recommandations :
If you have it paired with Bluetooth try connect it with cable.
If you have it plugged in with cable try another cable. Maybe the cable is old or broken.
Try looking for some settings in car infotaiment system that may block (or something that make the problem)the CarPlay.

try
restarting the ios device Force restart iPhone - Apple Support and check if it resolved it
if it did not then I would try Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support -
if that did not resolve it then I would
contact apple about repair Contact - Official Apple Support
