"iphone 16 - get rid of yahoo on safari ?: iPhone 16 all of a sudden safari goes to yahoo. I have checked settings and safari is default with google as engine. It won’t change back. My iPad is paired with the phone and iPad is fine, matching settings. I can’t access all my favorites on safari now that yahoo took over. Any advice to get rid of yahoo? Thanks."

Indeed a bit odd. But, what are you opening here? Downloading iOS updates, Safari is always going to be Web browser that opens, default or not.
