I made two payments within a half-hour of each other with Apple Wallet. The notifications arrived, one after 10 minutes and the second after 5 minutes. The bank notified me immediately... the connection was perfect. What could be the cause? Is it just me?

Some of mine have taken 24 hours, others minutes. I was told it depends on the speed retailer systems and the bank. Then of course Apple.
I was of the opinion they were quicker if Open Banking was not connected (not many countries have that)
That’s an issue with the merchant and Payment Network Operator (Visa, MasterCard and American Express).
Payments (purchases using Apple Pay) are not disclosed to Apple. The information necessary to complete the payment/purchase go directly to the merchants POS from your iPhone, then to the merchants credit card processor to the PNO to your bank. The bank approves or declines the transaction and it flows backwards to the merchant and the bank sends the decision to your iPhone.
What exactly aren’t you being notified of?
I’ve been getting Apple Wallet payment notifications with a delay of several minutes (10min +-), while the bank alert pops up right away. Up until a few days ago, both used to come in instantly and at the same time…
It just took a few minutes to come through Apple's servers, while your bank notified you sooner. It's not something I'd be concerned about, however.
Yes, okay. But I’m starting to worry because until yesterday both notifications, Wallet and the bank, used to arrive almost instantly and at the same time…
