Last Friday Night (TGIF) by Katy Perry sounds horrendous on apple music

I saw several previous threads regarding this and they were all over 5 years old dating till now. Why does last friday night by katy perry sound awful on Apple Music exclusively? I tweaked my settings and found that it sounds bad only when the phone or my Apple TVs sound mode is set to anything other than stereo. The Dolby Atmos makes this song sound like a bad high school acapella cover.

It is the upmix to get the Dolby Atmos tag provided by the producer/publisher that is terrible. If you turn off Dolby Atmos for that track, it returns to normal. Of course the song is from 2010 before artists recorded in Dolby Atmos, so if a publisher wants an older track to use Dolby Atmos for Apple Music, Tidal, or Amazon Music HD, they have to upmix the track, and in this case the upmix is terrible. All music is submitted by the producer/publisher.
